On the afternoon of April 16, Director of the Mainland Culture and Education Department of the Chinese Culture University of Taiwan, Chen Peiling, Director of the Institute of Science and Technology, Xu Yamin, and Prof. Pan Shiwei of the Department of Labor Relations visited SDAEU. Vice President Zhang Zhaoming attended the meeting. The other relevant directors of the North Campus Administration Office, the School of Economics and Management, the School of the Arts, the School of International Exchange and Cooperation and some teacher representatives attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Vice President Zhang Zhaoming expressed his warm welcome to the delegation of China Culture University, and made a detailed introduction of the history of SDAEU, professional characteristics and other aspects. Vice President Zhang Zhaoming proposed that our school aims at serving the modern agricultural industry as the main line, cultivating modern agricultural engineers and beautiful rural designers with outstanding practical abilities. Compared with other agricultural universities based on basic research in the province, our school is mainly cultivating applied talents. Director Chen Peiling stated that the Chinese Culture University, with a long history, aims to carry forward Chinese culture, enrich the main purpose of Chinese academics, apply scientific and technological integration, implement the integration of learning and practice, actively participate in social services, closely integrate talents with the market, and conform to the development of the times. Prof. Pan Shiwei also proposed that students should take a pragmatic approach and convey new concepts such as the leisure farm industry combined with the needs of modern people. Director Xu Yamin also paid attention to the specific practice of improving students’ comprehensive ability, which coincides with the concept of “cross-border talents” proposed by Vice President Zhang Zhaoming. Both parties are looking forward to in-depth cooperation in professional fields such as visual communication design, digital media arts, and human resources planning to cultivate practical talents in society. The delegation also hoped that the visit would promote the signing of a friendly cooperation agreement between the two sides and actively carry out exchange programs for teachers and students.
Prof. Pan Shiwei and Director Xu Yamin also conducted in-depth exchanges with the Dean of the School of Economics and Management and the Dean of the School of the Arts and related teacher representatives on subject construction, personnel training, and scientific research. The two parties spoke freely and exchanged opinions on professional matching. They formed preliminary cooperation intentions and hoped to strengthen cooperation between teachers of both sides in academic research.
After the meeting, Director Chen Peiling gave a lecture on the subject of “Chinese Culture Heritage in Taiwan” for the teachers and students of our school. At the same time, he gave a detailed introduction of the Chinese Culture University. The atmosphere of the students was lively. Through the detailed explanation of Director Chen, the students are deeply impressed by the culture of ethnic minorities in Taiwan and are also full of longing for the unique and splendid local scenery. After the lecture, Director Chen Peiling gave a one-on-one answer to the questions raised by the students.
Our university has signed a friendly cooperation agreement with the Chinese Culture University in Taiwan. The delegation’s visit has consolidated the friendly and cooperative relations between the two sides, deepened the cooperation and laid a firm foundation for further cooperation between the two parties in the future.
